A heart murmur is an extra sound heard between the beats, made by blood moving through the heart. murmur 2026 is a new festival by yours truly, Heartnoize, a meeting point for different corners of what we’ve been listening to, following and bringing to Czechia over the past 14 years. Some of it soft, some of it loud, some of it makes you move, some of it is still murmuring beneath the surface.

On Saturday November 14th 2026, we’re taking over Uhelný Mlýn in Libčice nad Vltavou just outside of Prague for twelve hours. From midday to midnight. Day and night will move through rock, metal, contemporary folk, heavy electronics, alt pop and plenty in between that we’d rather not try to name.

Heaven metal, shoegaze and experimental dream pop – New Mexico-based musician midwife is making music that gets deep under your skin. Her emotionally raw records explore the notion of losing control and coming to terms with the impermanence of things. 

Madeline Johnston aka midwife, is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer, 

based near Denver. She writes primarily about grief and the many faces it can inhabit, and her emotionally charged experimental pop music can silence a room. On record, Johnston creates intricate and lush sonic environments in her own little corner of the heavy music scene. She describes her sound as “Heaven Metal,” emotional music about devastation and catharsis.
