Heartnoize Invites the Berlin Collective Puschen to Prague with Raisa K and plainhead

Hazy melodies and a love letter to everyday life, as well as delicate alt-pop rooted in the shoegaze aesthetic. Raisa K, accompanied by Coby Sey and the Munich-based project plainhead, will perform at the Unijazz Reading Room on October 17. As part of the Heartnoize series, artists from the Berlin collective Puschen will take the stage, this time with an emphasis on sensitivity, introspection, subtle melodies, and delicate connections. The concert will be preceded by a discussion titled “What the hell is an independent label for in 2026?!” moderated by Adam Badí Donoval.

Raisa Khan, also known as Raisa K, made her debut last year with the album *Affectionate*, a laid-back pop album based on simple production, catchy melodies, and lyrics that show a perfect eye for detail. The album consists entirely of instrumental tracks created during spare moments amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life—on the way to work, while watching her child at the playground, or during a short break at work. In these tracks, the musician effortlessly explores the complex themes of interpersonal relationships, their cycles, and the commitments that never leave us. During live performances, Raisa K is accompanied by bassist and vocalist Coby Sey.

Plainhead straddles the line between a solo and a band project, blending strong artistic visions with the energy of collaboration. Hailing from Munich’s DIY scene, the group was initially influenced mainly by ’90s shoegaze, but gradually transformed into a calmer, more acoustic ensemble centered around the clarinet. Their debut album, *I SPLIT MY ORGAN IN TWOS* (2024), was inspired by freak folk, while their follow-up album, *You Are More Than A Thousand Words*, shifted away from rock toward electronic sounds and acoustic instruments. The result is a surreal, ever-changing soundscape over which heavy gray clouds drift, occasionally bringing rain.
