Grotesque characters and synth-infused post-punk. The six-piece band Adult DVD is heading to Prague

Somewhere between indie rock and rave—the Leeds-based six-piece band Adult DVD brings unlikely characters and scenarios to life in their lyrics, from preppers in bunkers to pop culture icons. With collage-like lyrics, beats borrowed from disco or acid house, and sharp-edged guitars, the British group blends elements from various musical genres and human stories. Adult DVD will make their Czech debut on November 16 at Café V lese. The event is organized by the Heartnoize collective.

Adult DVD formed during the lockdown in an effort to escape the monotony of the passing days. From their initial experiments with guitars and synthesizers, the lineup eventually took shape with Harry Hanson, Greg Lonsdale, Danny Blackburn, Jake Williams, Jonathan Newell, and George Manson. Their debut EP, *Fountain of Youth*, released in 2023, first showcased their eclectic style, absurd humor, and pulsating beats that keep listeners on their toes. This year, the band released a new single, “Real Tree Lee,” and the UK edition of *Rolling Stone* magazine included Adult DVD on its “Ones To Watch For 2026” list.
