Ebbb and their never-ending search for the perfect melodies. The British trio is coming to Prague this December.
Music full of plot twists and shifting moods—that’s the work of the London trio Ebbb. A hybrid sound blending industrial beats and ambient, delicate melodies and immersive electronic production, it constantly transforms and oscillates between two poles. Dreamy vocals and dense walls of sound. Ebbb covers everything from alt-pop ballads to unexpected sonic experiments.
Although the group Ebbb released their debut album All At Once less than a year after forming, its members—producer Ceylan, vocalist Will Rowland, and drummer Scott MacDonald—had known each other for some time from previous projects. A wide vocal range enhanced by electronic production, ethereal melodies, and the exploration of uncharted musical territories have united the musicians on a journey to tirelessly seek a form for music that is both accessible and innovative. “It’s as if we’re trying to decipher some kind of formula in the search for the perfect melody,” explains vocalist Rowland. “I try out a lot of variations to find the perfect melody for each part.” Ebbb are coming to Prague with a new album, set to be released on the Ninja Tune label.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the City of Prague.
