Hallucinatory post-rock that never stays in one form, but transforms with every note and word. The British band My New Band Believe was founded by former black midi bassist Cameron Picton, and although they’ve only released a few singles so far, they’ve showcased both frenetic post-punk and love ballads. With their debut self-titled album, set for release in April and featuring contributions from members of caroline as well as Kiran Leonard, Caius Williams, and Steve Noble, My New Band Believe will head to Prague for the first time this year. They will perform for the Czech audience on October 15 at Malostranská Beseda, organized by Heartnoize.
Fragmentary, yet cohesive—that’s the debut album by My New Band Believe. Cameron Picton began writing it while lying in a hotel with a fever, as strange images and improbable snippets of lyrics appeared to him. He then transformed this wild imagination into the eight tracks on the album My New Band Believe. Dynamic shifts, dreamlike logic, and rapidly changing emotions—this debut promises feverish delirium and hectic relaxation.
