When different cultures meet, they don’t necessarily clash right away—they might just dance together. The London-based band Los Bitchos is returning to Prague with their album *Los Bitchos & Friends Vol. 1*, on which they enrich their retrofuturistic blend of cumbia, rock, pop, and rhythms from Peru and Turkey with contributions from other musicians. Los Bitchos will perform on February 20 at Subzero as part of the Heartnoize series.

The core of Los Bitchos consists of Australian guitarist Serra Petale, Swedish bassist Josefine Jonsson, and London-born drummer Nic Crawshaw. Following the releases of *Let The Festivities Begin!* and *Talkie Talkie*, the band returns after two years with an album built on extensive collaborations, including with King Gizzard’s tourmate Ambros Kenny-Smith and Sudanese-American musician Sinkan. Sinkan will also join Los Bitchos during their Prague show—as a bandmate, vocalist, and DJ. Los Bitchos’ music, which has always oscillated between the Swedish winter and the Australian summer, is thus gaining fresh momentum, pushing genre fusions and playful melodies beyond ever-expanding boundaries.
